Welcome! The Onondaga Central School District is located south of Syracuse in upstate New York nestled in a valley with rural surroundings. The district provides a tranquil environment in a picturesque setting, yet enjoys all the major cultural advantages of an urban area within a 20 minute drive. A staff of 198 full and part-time employees, three academic buildings, preschool, a transportation center, and administrative offices commonly serve an enrollment of approximately 750 students, Pre-Kindergarten to twelfth grade.

| Speech and Language Therapist | The Onondaga Central School District is committed to preparing contributing citizens for life while offering a great work environment and compensation package. The District is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to join our team as a Speech and Language Therapist at our Rockwell and Wheeler Elementary Schools. This is a full-time, probationary position starting September 3, 2024 for grades PreK-6. The successful candidate will evaluate students and assist in developing speech and language skills that address specific functional needs, as well as, establish a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and to the development of a positive self-concept while meeting the State/District curriculum standards. | LAN TECH | The District has a vacancy for a full-time Local Area Network Technical Support Specialist (LAN Tech). This probationary position is effective 7/1/2024. Applicants currently holding this title are eligible to apply. Candidates not holding this civil service title will be considered according to civil service rules for competitive positions. OCS offers a great work environment and compensation package. Primary responsibilities: Support of district computer systems and software. The LAN Tech must have a strong understanding of the equipment and computer software supported throughout the district, as well as, the integrated systems used to support them. The LAN Tech provides backup support for the Network Administrator in account creation and school systems management. They will learn to use and understand all of the integrated systems and be able to provide support to staff as needed under the guidance of the network administrator. |

| Substitute Custodians | There is an immediate need for substitute custodians to work the evening shift at Rockwell, Wheeler and the Jr/Sr High School on an as needed basis. Some day shift work is also available. You can work 4-8 hours as your schedule permits. Training provided. Job requires heavy lifting. |
